A MESSAGE FROM MAYA'S FAMILY
Chris and I would like to thank everyone involved with today. The promoters, the drivers and mechanics that took the time to build cars and turn up. Some have to travel a great distance to get there, And not forgetting the spectators.
In support of the purple day and Our Beautiful Granddaughter Maya that on Friday the 2nd August it will be 7 years since she lost her fight to meningitis in just 16 hours, our world came crashing down. Never did we think it could happen to our family. Since then we as a family and friends have worked endlessly to make people aware of meningitis and the racing community has always come up tops and supported us. For a little girl called Maya that has touched everybody’s hearts. Today has been brilliant and we thank you all from the bottom of our hearts in whatever part you played today. We pray that one day we will be rid of this awful disease called meningitis. And Maya will always live on in everybody’s hearts.
So once again a very very big thank you from us the Whiteman and Ford family.

From what started a few mates racing turned into the most successful fun mud bath ever - maybe I'm old but it felt a relaxed chilled day with lots of smiles and handshakes. Making Memories In Memory Of Maya I know my family did in many ways The Event generated around 30 arrive and drive vehicles on the day, Drivers from Europe and from across the UK. hats of to anyone that organises events of such it took a good 7 months of planning, drinking and begging. Thank you, everyone, the money will be sent over to Mayas Just giving page this week coming and then gets sent to the Meningitis Research where they do fantastic work to educate and hopefully one day eradicate this horrible illness.
